Connecting struggles – overcoming capitalism!

For more than two years, we have been experiencing a global pandemic in which the already partially privatized and broken health care system continues to be subjected to massive deterioration. However, instead of improving the financial situation of health facilities and employees by the finance ministries, the grievances in the health care system were ignored for years and invested in the Bundeswehr and police. Unfortunately, this can be observed very closely this year: At the end of February, the federal government decided to invest enormous sums in the armament, while the care has to beg for every additional cent.

The situation is no better in other areas either: Through the Infection Protection Act, rights of us workers, such as the 40h/w, were suspended nationwide and across party lines in order to compensate for the grievances caused by the state finance ministers to some extent. But not even that was enough for them. Under the pretext of high pandemic costs, the Lower Saxony Finance Minister even threatened the entire public service with wage cuts at the end of 2021, resulting in nationwide warning strikes.

While companies like Siemens are making profits, thousands of workers still have to fear for their jobs. Despite a high capital cushion, big players such as Continental have reacted to the losses in the first corona year in a classic capitalist manner with job cuts. Regensburg employees were sold their sudden unemployment as Continentale „Mission Future“, to which they have to make their own contribution. A mockery for all employees who have put their energy into the site and now fear for their future. But even despite wage labour, many people are poor. Even the slightest attempt to demand basic rights threatens dismissal, wage cuts and outsourcing.

We must not accept this general attack on us workers. So get out on the street on May 1st!

We as the Alliance of Anticapitalist May 1 show our solidarity with all employees of the nursing strike at the University Hospital and the Continental plants here in Regensburg. In addition, our solidarity also applies to all other labour struggles worldwide – only through our networking can we stop the capitlist megalomania.

Alone they make you!

We have to think struggles together and connect them with each other! Be it labor struggles, climate struggles, antimilitarist struggles, anti-racist struggles, feminist struggles or the struggles for educational justice: they belong together! Our common goal must be to overcome capitalism. The pandemic is exacerbating social inequalities not only in care: the climate crisis is progressing unhindered, rental prices, food, energy and living costs such as fuel, electricity, etc. are also rising rapidly with minimal inflation compensation and are hitting poor people and people with low incomes in particular.

Therefore, together against the attacks of capital and for our hard-won rights!

Outsourcing & competition are popular means of capitalist actors to prevent common, global labour struggles. Only if we perceive this division and overcome it globally can we stand together worldwide against this madness of the destruction of man and nature.

Out to the anti-capitalist 1 May 2022 in Regensburg!

Together against the class struggle from above!

Never again war! Long live international solidarity!
